Preparation
Prepare yourself before our brew and meet time.
You are welcome to ask any questions, as long as they are about coffee, during our brew and meet time. We would like you to be prepared so you can maximise your time with us. Here are a few suggestions of topics you might like to explore and cover with us, and things to have handy:
Extracting coffee / choosing the right grind size
- most important gadget: a scale and our coffee beans
- clean the machine in advance if that’s possible
Cleaning
- an espresso machine cleaning brush
- a short stumpy screwdriver (straight head and Phillips head)
Milk Frothing / Latte art
- clean your steam wand by soaking the wand in milk cleaning chemical if possible
- milk
- our coffee beans
- soap and soy sauce or any dark colour liquid base (cheaper option if you don’t want waste milk and coffee)
Set up the machine
- coffee, clean water, tea towel or chux cloths
Pour over method
- kettle of your choice
- our coffee
- water to brew coffee
Sensory
- variety of fruits, like lemon, orange, apple, grape and plum
- tea, like earl grey tea and chamomile
