About Producer & Farm
About the Producer
Pedro Rodriguez Escribano, a former printing-industry entrepreneur from Spain who invested in a Panamanian cattle-and-coffee farm later in his career. It was his German son-in-law who encouraged him to shift the farm's focus toward specialty coffee, and Pedro has since built it into an award-winning Geisha producer.
About the Farm
The farm sits at 1,350–1,500m in Chiriquí province, in the volcanic foothills of Volcán Barú and bordering the biodiverse La Amistad International Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cherries grow under natural shade in mineral-rich volcanic soil and are harvested selectively by hand; Pedro also provides medical and educational support to the families working on the farm.
