About the Farm

The Uraga Supernatural coffee comes from smallholder farmers around Uraga Gomoro, near Dilla, Ethiopia, where coffee is grown in backyard gardens, or “garden coffee.” The region’s steep mountains and breathtaking ridges capture the magic of Ethiopia. These local farmers produce a Seattle lot that highlights Uraga’s vibrant, expressive, and unique flavour profile.

Processing Method

Ripe red cherries (20–22º Brix) are hand-picked. Cherries are slow-fermented in airtight conditions, burrito-wrapped on raised beds for three days, then spread thin to finish drying over 25–30 days until reaching 10–12% moisture. Stored in dried cherry pods until milling, this method preserves Uraga’s vibrant, fruit-forward, and expressive profile.

When to Open & Best Enjoyed

Omni

Ready to open:
Day 7 — can be aged and remain unopened til Day 28

After opening:
Enjoy within 20 days

Why?
Freshly roasted coffee needs time to “rest.” In the first few days, it’s still releasing CO₂, which can make your cup taste sharp or gassy. Giving it a little time helps the coffee open up, bringing out more clarity, sweetness, and a cleaner finish.

(Once opened, coffee begins to age faster due to exposure to air. Enjoy within this period for the best experience.)
